Rethinking Traditional Foam Manufacturing
The manufacture of flexible polyurethane foam involves complex chemical reactions using petrochemical derivatives. Historically, this process has been associated with environmental concerns, particularly the release of isocyanate fumes and the use of significant quantities of solvents.
Enviro-Foam recognised these challenges early and committed to finding better solutions. Rather than accepting environmental impact as unavoidable, we invested in technology to fundamentally change how foam is produced.
Pioneering Environmental Foam Technology
Enviro-Foam established its environmental credentials in 1988 by becoming the first Australian manufacturer to produce a complete range of flexible polyurethane foam without the use of fluorocarbons.
In 2011, Enviro-Foam again led the industry by developing proprietary technologies that eliminated the release of isocyanate fumes and solvents into the environment. These innovations are known as Active Seal™ and Super Mix™ technologies and remain unique to Enviro-Foam.
Independent testing has shown virtually no emissions from our foam manufacturing process, positioning Enviro-Foam and the Natritex Group among the most environmentally responsible foam manufacturers in Australia.
Active Seal™ and Super Mix™ Technologies
Active Seal™ technology is designed to contain and neutralise emissions during the foam production process, preventing harmful substances from being released into the surrounding environment.
Super Mix™ technology ensures precise, consistent blending of foam components, improving foam quality while further reducing emissions and waste.
Together, these technologies enable Enviro-Foam to manufacture high-performance foam using world-leading environmental practices.
Precision Computerised Cutting and Manufacturing
Enviro-Foam operates a comprehensive range of advanced cutting and processing equipment, including computerised carousel and vertical knife cutting systems, quilting and panel cutting machinery, and peeling, convoluting and profiling machines.
Our computerised cutting technology allows us to reproduce orders with exacting accuracy, ensuring consistent specifications across repeat production runs.
From straight-cut cushions to complex profiled shapes, we can manufacture foam to precise requirements. We also offer additional services such as Dacron wrapping, providing flexibility and efficiency for our customers.

Quality Without Compromise
All Enviro-Foam products are manufactured on-site at our Clontarf factory in Brisbane. We produce every foam grade locally, including standard foam, fire-retardant and fire-guard foams, high-resilience foams, and advanced visco-elastic and memory foams.
Our foam is 100 percent filler free, and we maintain strict internal quality control procedures to ensure every product meets specification and performance standards.
